Róża Bartnicka is an artist, born in 1997 in Warsaw. A graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, she studied at the Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul (as part of the Erasmus+ program, 2019-2020). Diploma defended in 2021 in the Workshop Graphics Studio of prof. Smolnicki, an annex to the diploma in the Painting Studio of prof. Gostyński.

He deals mainly with painting and graphic design, where matter and its sensuality are important means of expression. She likes to combine various techniques and materials in her work, which helps her discover new aesthetic qualities through experimentation. It is strongly influenced by emotions and the organic sphere of nature.

Her initial interest in the matter of the body and emotions in later works turned into an exploration of the matter of the work itself. The artist attempts to analyze the laws governing matter – whether it exists only within certain limits and where are the limits beyond which there is only emptiness. She wants her works of art to go beyond the boundaries of being an object and transform into a unique experience:

“The matter of the work is very important to me. It allows you to turn an inanimate object into a vivid, sensual experience. I often juxtapose tangibility, density or saturation of matter with lightness and fleetingness, airiness or emptiness. Emptiness is especially important here. Sometimes perversely, it appears as heavier than the heaviest, most saturated elements, it seems to have the power to tame, organize and close or open the borders of the image, constituting its inseparable element.

In addition to the meeting with the artist, the vernissage will also include a lecture entitled “Alternative forms of investing”, the aim of which will be to familiarize the participants of the event with the concept of alternative investments and to present the benefits of investing in art.
