Informacja o artyście:

Katarzyna Wasilewska (ur. 1976) – MA in Economics, member of ZPAP, graduate of the Wladyslaw Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. She graduated in 2015 with a diploma in Painting and Drawing from the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting. Her studies allowed her to deepen her knowledge and previous experience, and inspired her to further exploration and development. He works mainly in painting, as well as collage. In her work, she explores the natural world and the inner world of man.

 

“Beyond Words” and ‘Ether of Life’ are the two most important painting series by Katarzyna Wasilewska. The paintings in the “Beyond Words” series are based primarily on the motifs of the mask and the chessboard. The works in this series are related to theater, game and characterization, which are often reflected in reality, in interpersonal relationships. The “Ether of Life” series is built using the allegory of butterfly wings. The works are intended to encourage the viewer to reflect on the fragility and ephemerality of our lives.

 

Katarzyna Wasilewska’s works can be found in private collections in Poland and abroad. Paintings from the “Ether of Life” series, among others, are in a private collection in Los Angeles. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions:
