The artist was born in Bydgoszcz in 1986. In a family with multi-generational creative traditions in painting and architecture (Alojzy Niedbalski, Alfons Licznerski, Pawel Licznerski). From an early age, she loved to create, which translated into excellent results at all stages of her education, which was to culminate brilliantly in her studies at the Tchaikovsky High School for the Arts. Leon Wyczółkowski in Bydgoszcz, which was a great dream of the artist at that stage of her life, and the realization of which was interrupted by the severe illness with which she had to struggle.
Despite adversity, the artist has continuously drawn, painted, sculpted and created linocuts. She has created dozens of fascinating utilitarian objects. The cross-section of her creative abilities is very wide, which she perfectly depicts in the new forms given to utilitarian objects; these include. Exotic pots, pendants with live plants and vertical paintings of succulents. In later years, she earned a “specialist” degree as an architect and interior decorator. She has translated the knowledge she has gained into the development of her own work, and interior design consulting.
Her current focus is on thread painting, a string art technique that is currently her leading form of creative expression. She boldly refers to herself as a Polish expert on the subject – she has already created and sold more than 350 works.
String art is a technique invented in the late 19th century by Mary Everest Boole to make mathematics more accessible, and since the late 1960s it has become an artistic craft.
Despite the difficult beginnings and sore fingers that resulted from having to hammer thousands of nails, the artist derives joy and satisfaction from creating in this technique. Her art has gained popularity, and her paintings are increasingly sophisticated and advanced. Initially, the vast majority of her works were created on commission, she took on subjects such as baby ultrasound, the painting “Jesus I trust in you” and challenging portraits, which were another challenge for her. Thanks to this open-mindedness, she has refined her creative process quite quickly and is now pursuing her own creative visions, which are various kinds of abstractions inspired by living organisms and geometric creations. She brings her forms into space using several lengths of nails, which allows for wonderful three-dimensional effects and light play.
The string art technique gives her many opportunities for artistic expression, and she has endless ideas for her thread-painted paintings and promises to surprise her audience more than once.
