Informacja o artyście:

Ewa Mońka was born in 1987 in Katowice, Poland. She defended her diploma at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice in 2011.

Color plays a paramount role in her paintings, guiding the narrative and engaging in an emotional interplay with the viewer. Beneath layers of pure, cool, and vibrant hues, the artist reveals themes that invite contemplation. The subjects Ewa explores center primarily around human character. She is very much influenced by the topic of women in culture, their rights and image. In her work, she focuses on the shades of today’s socio-cultural turmoil.

For years, she worked to enhance Silesian homes with Danish and Polish design. Today, she is fully dedicated to creating and promoting art within the local community. She is the initiator and coordinator of mini art workshops at the Day Oncology Ward in Katowice.

Ewa has participated in Silesian art festivals, including the High Art Festival in Bytom and the Art Naif Festival at the Wilson Shaft Gallery in Katowice. Her work has been exhibited in Warsaw, Poznań, Katowice, and Bytom, and her paintings are held in private collections in Silesia and Switzerland.
