The FEMINATIVES exhibition is a presentation of the work of three wonderful women;

Aleksandra Zielińska- Misiun, oil painting,

Ewa Mróz, acrylic painting/structured paste,

Anety Szoltis – Menciny, linocut.

They create in completely separate techniques, the works of each of them have their own character and style, and their common denominator is LANDSCAPE and FEMALE. You are cordially invited on a journey into your ‘private spaces’.

The exhibition was also a great pretext to talk about the eponymous FEMINATIVES, which have recently become the subject of much discussion in the public space, yet are not a 21st century invention. and one should simply acknowledge and accept the fact of their existence. If only someone feels the need to use them then show an open mind and accept rather than deny.

Especially as even the Council of the Polish Language has commented on the creation of feminine forms of the names of professions and titles; “The feminine forms of the names of professions and positions are needed, and their use will demonstrate the equality of women in the exercise of professions and tenure. However, language cannot be imposed on anything, the adoption of any legal regulation in this area will not cause Polish women and men to start using the forms engineer, docent or minister en masse. However, they should be universally accepted.”

I was even more delighted by the reactions and discussions with the visitors, who, open to art, also welcomed the CREATIVE, ARTIST and PAINTER!
