Informacja o artyście:

Born 1994 in Ukraine. Graduated from the Department of Textile Design at the Lviv National Academy of Art, graduating in the studio of Prof. Viktoria Dubrovyk (2015). 2013. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź (student exchange lasting 1 semester), among others, in the studio of unique textiles of Prof. Włodzimierz Cygan and Dr. Izabela Wyrwa.

The artist has had a number of solo and group exhibitions. She was part of the team creating the first full-length animated film made using the painting technique “Loving Vincent”.

She works in oil on canvas. The most characteristic feature of Olena’s work is a very expressive, rough texture. Her compositions are ‘woven’ with all these irregularities, concaves and indentations. The origins of this method can be traced back to the tapestries the artist wove during her studies.

Currently lives and works in Wrocław.
